Notta has developed a new feature for recording and transcribing Slack Huddles (beta). With this feature, you can record your Huddle and generate a summary using AI.
Please Note: This feature is currently in beta and is available for the Business plan. Users on the Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans can not access this feature. As it's a beta version, you may experience some instability.
Prerequisites:
- Have a Notta Business Plan
- Be the Notta workspace owner
- Be the Slack workspace owner or admin
Inviting the Notta Bot to Your Workspace
Before you can record your Slack Huddle, you need to invite the Notta bot to your workspace.
Step 1: Log in with the Notta workspace owner account. Navigate to “Settings - Meeting Bot - Slack Huddle Bot” and toggle the switch to "On."
Step 2: Paste your Slack workspace's invitation link. Only Slack workspace owners and admins have the authority to invite members to join the Slack workspace.
Step 3: Set the transcription language for Slack Huddles.
Step 4: Wait a few minutes for the Notta bot to join your Slack workspace.
💡Tip: If the Notta bot fails to join your Slack workspace, go back to “Settings - Meeting Bot - Slack Huddle Bot,” turn the switch off, and then turn it back on.
Recording and Transcribing Your Slack Huddle
Once the Notta bot has joined your Slack workspace, you can begin recording and transcribing Slack Huddles.
Step 1: Go to Slack, start a Slack Huddle.
Step 2: Invite the Notta bot to join the Huddle.
Step 3: Admit the Notta bot into the Huddle.
Step 4: View the transcript on Notta.
💡Tip: The person inviting the Notta bot to the Slack Huddle must have a Notta account, which means the email address used in both the Notta workspace and the Slack workspace must be the same; otherwise, the Notta bot will not join the Slack Huddle.
Changing the Transcription Language for Your Slack Huddle
If needed, you can change the default transcription language for your Slack Huddle in the settings.
Step 1: Navigate to “Settings - Meeting Bot - Slack Huddle Bot”.
Step 2: Set the transcription language to match the language you will use in your upcoming Slack Huddle.
