Notta provides convenient and efficient editing features that allow you to easily correct, manage, and optimize your transcribed content. This article explains the basic data editing operations in both Notta Web and the Notta Mobile App.
Prerequisites for using this feature
Plan: Available with All plans
Role: Any role with Can edit or higher permissions
Platform: Notta Web, Notta Mobile App (*)
* Some features are unavailable or limited in the Notta mobile app.
Edit the title
Method 1:
- Click Rename in the record list.

Enter the new title and click Save to save the
new title.
Method 2:
- Open the details page of the record you want to edit.
- Click the current record title area at the top of the page.

Enter the new title, then click outside the title area or press
Enter, and the new title will be automatically saved.
Notta Mobile App
Method 1:
- On the Home page, swipe left on the record and select it with the checkbox.
- Tap Rename.

Enter the new title and tap Done to save the
new title.
Method 2:
- Open the details page of the record you want to edit in the app.
- Tap the title area to edit.
- Enter the new title.

Once editing is complete, tap outside the title area, and the
new title will be automatically saved.
Edit the transcribed text

Enable edit mode.

Method 1: Double-click the transcription area.

Method 2: Turn on the Edit Transcription
toggle in the upper right corner of the page.

- Once in edit mode, you can directly modify, add, or delete content in the transcription text area, just like in a general text editor.
- If "Your changes will be saved automatically" is displayed in the upper right corner, your changes are automatically saved, and you do not need to save changes manually.
Notta Mobile App
- Open the details page of the record you want to edit in the app.

Tap the Edit button at the top of the page.
Or swipe left on the block and click Edit.
- Once in edit mode, you can directly modify, add, or delete content in the transcription text area, just like in a general text editor.
- Once editing is complete, tap Save in the upper right corner, or return to the previous page, and your changes will be saved.
Notes:
- Network connection: The auto-save function requires a stable network connection. Please ensure your network is good while editing to prevent data loss.
- Time data: The original transcribed text usually contains accurate timestamp data. However, modifications made to the text content in edit mode will not automatically update or change the timestamp data in the original audio. To avoid significant discrepancies between the text and audio timelines, we recommend avoiding deleting or replacing large amounts of text at once.

- While in edit mode, there are Undo and Redo buttons in the upper left corner of the page.
- Use these buttons to undo recent changes or reapply previously undone changes.
