Why does real-time transcription stop on the mobile app during recording?

The most common reason for real-time transcription to be interrupted in the Notta mobile app is that the microphone is being used by another app. Here are the main activities that might require microphone access:

Voice or video calls

When you're on a voice or video call, your system prioritizes microphone resources for these calling applications. This can prevent other apps from using the microphone, potentially stopping your recording.

Using voice assistants

While you're using voice assistant features like Siri or Google Assistant, the microphone is actively used by these services to recognize your voice commands.

Apps using microphone in the background

Some applications might use the microphone even when they're running in the background. For instance, certain social media apps might use the microphone for instant voice message recording features.

Using audio or video recording apps

If you're using any audio or video recording applications, like Voice Memos or your Camera app, these applications will be actively using the microphone.

Continuous microphone use by third-party apps

Some third-party applications, once granted microphone permission, might continue to use it even when it's not strictly needed. We recommend checking your device settings to see which applications have microphone access and managing those permissions.
