Import files from Google Drive & Dropbox

At Notta, in addition to directly uploading files from local storage, you can also import files saved in Google Drive or Dropbox.

Prerequisites for using this feature
Plan: Available on all plans
Role: Available to all roles
Platform: Notta Web

Import files from Google Drive & Dropbox

1. Obtain the share link for the file from Google Drive or Dropbox.
   
   Get a share link from Google Drive

   1. Find the file you want to upload in Google Drive and click Share.
      

   2. The sharing settings pop-up will open. Set General access to Anyone with the link.
      
   3. If you set the shared role to Editor, no other settings are required.
      
   4. If you set the shared role to Viewer or Commenter, click the gear icon in the upper right of the pop-up and check Viewers and commenters can see the option to download, print, and copy.
      
   5. Click Copy link to copy the share link.

   Get a share link from Dropbox

   1. Find the file you want to upload in Dropbox and click Share.
      

   2. When the pop-up appears, click the gear icon in the bottom right to open the sharing settings window.
      
   3. Under the Link for viewing tab, click Create link.
      
   4. Set Who has access to Anyone with link and leave Disable downloads OFF.
      
   5. Click Copy link to copy the share link.
2. Return to Notta and click Upload & transcribe on the home screen.
   
3. Paste the share link into the Upload from URL field and click Confirm.
   
4. If you want to upload multiple files at once, paste the share links of the other files one by one into the field to the left of the confirmation button, then click Confirm.
   
5. Once all files are in the upload waiting list, click Next.
   
6. Set the transcription language to match the language actually used in the audio or video, then click Upload & transcribe to start the upload.
   
7. Click Uploaded records in the bottom right corner of the home screen to check the upload progress.
   
8. Once the upload is complete, transcription will start automatically. You can check the results once the transcription is complete.
