Universal streaming media transcription solution┃Chrome extension

You can use the Notta Chrome extension to record and transcribe various types of audio playing within your browser.

This is a very convenient alternative for unlisted or private YouTube videos, podcasts, live streams, online courses, and other content that Notta doesn't directly support for import.

Prerequisites for using this feature
Plan: Available on all plans
Role: Available to all roles
Platform: Notta Web

1. Install the Notta Chrome Extension.
2. Launch the Notta Chrome Extension by clicking the extension icon in the upper right corner of the Chrome browser and selecting Notta Chrome Extension.
   
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to log in to the Notta Web version. If you don't have an account, you can create one for free.
4. Open the web page you want to transcribe, click the extension icon in the upper right corner of the Chrome browser, and select Notta Chrome Extension.
5. Specify the storage location in the Save to Workspace field, set the Transcription language to match the language actually used in the web content, and set the audio source to Current tab sound.
6. Click Start Recording to start recording the audio coming from the Chrome tab.
   
   
   

   Tip: You can record up to 5 pages simultaneously.

7. The transcription results will be displayed in Notta in real-time as you record.
   

   1. A widget with the following options will be displayed on the page being recorded. You can focus more on the web content by utilizing this widget.

      1. Finish: Click the "Finish" button to end recording.

      2. Pause / Resume: Click the "Pause / Resume" button to pause or resume recording.

      3. Add Bookmark: You can add a bookmark by clicking the bookmark icon. 
         
         
         

      Tip: You can move the widget by long-pressing and dragging the ⋮⋮ icon at the left edge of the widget.

   2. When checking the transcribed content on the Notta page, the following operations are possible:

      1. Pause / Resume: Click the "Pause / Resume" button to pause or resume recording.

      2. Stop Recording: Click the "Stop Recording" button to end recording.

      3. Add Bookmark: After the content of a text block is finalized, you can add a bookmark by hovering your cursor over that block.
