Data deleted in Notta are not instantly removed forever. They are temporarily stored in the Trash folder, allowing you to recover necessary files. Conversely, if you wish to free up storage space, you can permanently delete items from the Trash.
This guide will walk you through the process of deleting and restoring data.
Prerequisites for using this feature
Plan: Available on all plans
Role: Any role with Can edit or higher permissions
Platform: Notta Web, Notta Mobile App*
* Some features are unavailable or limited in the Notta mobile app.
Warning:
- Items in Trash will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
- Permanently deleted recordings are not retrievable.
Delete data
- Go to the detail page of your recording and click Move to > Move to Trash.
- You can also delete multiple recordings at once by selecting them individually from the homepage or simply deleting a folder that includes all the recordings that you wish to delete.
- A reminder of the data retention period will appear, click Move to Trash to continue.
Notta Mobile App
- Open your record, tap the "…" three-dot icon in the top right, then tap Delete at the bottom.
- Confirm again and tap the red button Delete.
Note: The deleted file will be moved to Trash and you can restore it if you want. - You can also delete multiple records permanently at once by selecting them individually.
Restore or Delete data from Trash
- Click All Records > Trash.
Click More > Restore / Delete permanently.
- You can also restore or delete multiple recordings at once by selecting them individually.
Notta Mobile App
- Tap Mine > Recently Deleted Items.
- Locate the file you wish to restore or delete permanently.
- Swipe the file entry to the left on your screen.
- Tap Recover to move the file back to your main note list, or tap Delete to permanently remove the file.
Empty Trash
- Click All Records > Trash.
- Click Empty trash.
- Click Empty to confirm the data erasure.
Notta Mobile App
- Tap Mine > Recently Deleted Items.
- Tap Empty trash to confirm the data erasure.
