This article explains how to use templates to generate summaries, which forms the basis of the AI Notes feature. If you are looking for guides on how to create custom templates or other AI Notes-related topics, please check the relevant articles from the links below.
How to use AI templates?
Tips:
- AI Notes are generated based on transcription results. To obtain more accurate summaries, we recommend reviewing and correcting transcription results before generation.
- If you want to include speaker names in the AI Notes, please update the default speaker names to actual names before generation.
Note: Each successful generation of a summary counts as one use, and one unit is deducted from your monthly allowance. If the generation fails, the usage count is not consumed.
- Specify the AI Notes language.
- Open a completed transcription record and find the AI Notes area. By default, the AI Notes area is displayed on the left side of the screen, but its display position may change depending on layout settings.
- Frequently used templates will be displayed in the AI Notes area and can be applied immediately by simply selecting them.
-
If you want to use other templates, you can select them using one of the following methods:
- Click the Template library icon in the menu bar at the top of the AI Notes area, or click See All templates under frequently used templates, to open the template library. You can select templates while previewing them from the template library.
- Click the blank space in the AI Notes area to enable editing, then press the spacebar to display the template list. Select the template you want to apply from there.

AI Notes timestamps
AI Notes includes timestamps for sections like chapters and action items when all of the following conditions are met:
-
- Condition 1: The default template is used.
- Condition 2: The audio data is less than 90 minutes long.
If you're using the Notta Web version, clicking a timestamp will take you directly to the corresponding location in the transcription result that served as the information source.
