At Notta, some features consume transcription time or usage counts. This article will clearly explain the calculation rules for each of these features.
Calculation rules for Notta feature
-
Transcription Time
Applicable features: Instant record, Upload & transcribe, Record online meeting, Record screen, Google Chrome extension, translation feature for transcribed records
Calculation rules:
Transcription time is calculated based on the actual length of the audio transcribed, in minutes.
Example: If you transcribe a 15-minute and 13-second recording, 16 minutes will be consumed.
If you use the translation feature for transcribed records, transcription time will be calculated again.
Example: If you transcribe a 15-minute and 13-second recording and then translate it, 16 minutes * 2 = 32 minutes will be consumed.
Important notes:
Transcription time is consumed when a record is successfully created.
If a record is not created (e.g., due to failure), transcription time will not be consumed. -
File transcription
Applicable feature: Upload & transcribe
Calculation rules: If one file is uploaded and a record is successfully created, it counts as one use.
Important notes:
It counts as one use when a record is successfully created
If a record is not created (e.g., due to failure), it will not be counted. -
AI summary
Applicable features: AI notes, Re-generate, Automations feature
Calculation rules:
Each time you generate AI notes either manually or automatically, it counts as one use.
Using the Re-generate feature to create another summary also counts as an additional use.
Even if you discard the generated summary content, it still counts as one use.
Important notes:
If the "Automatic note sharing" setting is enabled, the AI summary will be automatically generated and shared. One AI summary usage will also be consumed. -
Monolingual real-time translation / Bilingual transcription & translation
Applicable features: The add-on features "Monolingual real-time translation" and "Bilingual transcription & translation"
Calculation rules:
When you check the add-on feature and start transcribing, it counts as one use.
These add-on features do not consume transcription time.
How to check usage and reset times?
You can check the usage status and reset time for each feature in Feature Usage on the right side of the Home screen.
Usage other than transcription time is hidden by default. Click Check feature usage to expand and view the usage details.
About Reset Times
For Free users: Your usage resets at the same time and on the same day each month as your registration date. If a month doesn't have that specific day, it will reset on the closest day in the following month.
For Paid users (Pro / Business): Your usage resets at the same time and on the same day each month as your initial purchase date. If a month doesn't have that specific day, it will reset on the closest day in the following month.
Examples:
If you registered or made your first purchase on January 1st at 12:00 PM → Usage resets on the 1st of every month at 12:00 PM.
If you registered or made your first purchase on January 31st at 12:00 PM → Usage will reset on February 28th or 29th at 12:00 PM, and continue to reset on the 28th or 29th of every month at 12:00 PM thereafter.
