How do I allow microphone access for Notta Web on mobile devices?

When using Notta Web on a mobile device, such as a smartphone, microphone permission is required for the Instant Recording feature. Make sure microphone access is allowed in both your device's operating system (OS) settings and your browser settings.

Follow the steps below to enable microphone access.

Step 1: Use a supported browser

Notta Web works best on the latest versions of the following browsers:

Step 2: Allow your browser to access the microphone in your device settings

Make sure your mobile operating system allows your browser to use the microphone.

Android

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Apps.
  3. Select your browser (Chrome or Edge).
  4. Tap Permissions.
  5. Make sure Microphone is set to Allow.

iPhone / iPad

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select your browser (Safari, Chrome, or Edge).
  3. Turn on Microphone.

Step 3: Allow Notta to use the microphone in your browser

After granting system permission, make sure your browser allows Notta to access the microphone.

Google Chrome (Android)

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Tap > Settings.
  3. Go to Site settings > Microphone.
  4. Make sure microphone access is enabled.
  5. If Notta appears in the Blocked list, select it and change the permission to Allow.

Safari (iPhone)

  1. Open the Notta website in Safari.
  2. Tap the Square icon with lines underneath next to the address bar.
  3. Tap ··· to open the menu.
  4. In the page settings menu, you can configure the Microphone permission to "Ask", "Deny", or "Allow" (Please select "Allow").
  5. Refresh the page if necessary.

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge uses the permission settings provided by your operating system.

  • On Android, follow the Android system permission steps above and ensure microphone access is enabled for Edge.
  • On iPhone and iPad, enable the Microphone permission for Edge in Settings.

Still not working?

If Notta still cannot access your microphone:

  • Refresh the page after changing permissions.
  • Close and reopen your browser.
  • Make sure no other app is currently using the microphone.
  • Update your browser to the latest version.
  • Restart your device if the issue persists.
