Add English Vocabulary

Adding names, technical terms, and company names to the dictionary helps improve transcription accuracy.

Requirements to use this feature
Plan: Available on all plans
Role: Available to all roles
Platform: Notta Web

Note: My Vocabulary words are not referenced during YouTube transcription.

Tip: On the Notta Web, Japanese and English dictionaries are managed separately.

English vocabulary limits

You can find the maximum number of custom words you can add for each plan below.

Click on your profile image on top right corner > Settings.
Click My Vocabulary, switch to the English Vocabulary tab, then click Add.
Enter the term and click the checkmark icon to save.
To delete the word, click on the delete icon to delete the word.
You can now return to the homepage and start transcribing.

Note: Bulk word import is available only on the Business and Enterprise plans.

Click on your profile image on top right corner > Settings.
Click My Vocabulary, switch to the English Vocabulary tab.

Click Upload and Download > Upload
In Step 2, click Download the Template to download the template file.

Tip: The English My Vocabulary template is available at the end of this article. Feel free to download and use it.
Follow the guidelines in Step 3 to add words to the template.
Upload the completed word list. (Supported file formats: csv, xlsx, xls)
The words will be registered automatically.
If there are errors in the word list, an error message will appear. Click here to download the error details and review the cause of the issue.
If you continue despite the error, invalid entries will be skipped and valid words registered. Click the Click to download for details button to see the reason for each error.
