Notta's block editing feature allows you to easily correct transcription text in block units, separated by speaker or timestamp. Corrections to speech content and speaker changes can be done efficiently, helping to improve the accuracy and readability of your transcription data.
Prerequisites for using this feature
Plan: Available with All plans
Role: Any role with Can edit or higher permissions
Platform: Notta Web, Notta Mobile App*
* Some features are unavailable or limited in the Notta mobile app.
Note: The Dismiss icon only appears when Correction reference is enabled. The Delete icon only appears when you enter editing mode.
Manage single blocks
Various functions are available with one click.
Move your cursor to the block to display the function bar.

Merge and split blocks
Merge blocks
- Place the cursor at the beginning of the block.
- Press the Backspace on your keyboard to merge it with its previous block.
Split blocks
- Place the cursor where you want to create a new line.
- Press Enter on your keyboard to split the block.

While in editing mode, tap the position where you want to merge the blocks, then tap Delete on your on-screen keyboard.

Select multiple blocks to display the function bar.

Merge multiple blocks
Place the cursor over the blank area until it turns into a cross, then move to select the blocks you want to merge.
Merge adjacent speaker's blocks
Merge adjacent blocks of the same speaker by clicking the button in the drop-down list of More.
