Edit speaker names

In Notta's transcription data, you can assign and edit speakers for each transcription block. This article introduces how to change speakers, and edit, add, or delete speaker names.

Prerequisites for using this feature
Plan: Available with All plans
Role: Any role with Can edit or higher permissions
Platform: Notta Web, Notta Mobile App*
* Some features are unavailable or limited in the Notta mobile app.

Edit Speaker names

Notta Web
  1. Click on the speaker's name.

  2. From the displayed dropdown list, you can select an existing speaker.
  3. For speakers not shown in the dropdown list, you can enter the speaker's name to search for or add them.

    Click + Add (Speaker name) as a guest speaker to add them.

Edit speaker name: Hover over the speaker name and click the edit icon that appears next to it. Enter the new speaker's name and click save.

Delete speaker: Hover over the speaker name and click the delete icon that appears next to it to delete that speaker.

Notta Mobile App

Conversation insights (Web only)

The Conversation Insights feature provides the total silence duration and a deep dive into the transcript, helping you better understand your recordings. If you've made changes to the transcript, you can manually regenerate these insights to reflect the updated content.

Note: Currently, the Conversation Insights feature is available in Japanese, English, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

  1. Check the percentage of speaking time for each speaker.

  2. Select specific speakers to play their contents.
    If you tick boxes next to specific speakers, only their content will be highlighted. When you click the blue Play button, only the highlighted content will play, the non-highlighted content will be skipped.

  3. Check the progress bar of each speaker.

  4. Click the arrow on the left side of Deep dive to analyze the number of speakers, the speaker's speaking speed, talk ratio, monologues, and even the longest monologue in detail.
