How to improve recording quality with Notta Memo

To ensure the best recording results, please follow these recommendations based on the selected recording mode.

📞 For call recording mode

Tip:Make sure your Notta Memo is set to Call Recording Mode, indicated by the red switch on the side of the device.

The current call recording feature uses Notta Memo’s built-in vibration sensor to capture audio from the phone’s earpiece. As a result, physical contact between the Memo device and the phone significantly impacts the audio quality.

âś… Recommended setup for clear call recordings

  • Attach the Memo directly to a bare phone (without a case) for optimal vibration detection and audio clarity.
  • Ensure the phone’s earpiece volume is turned up during the call. Very low volume may reduce recording quality.
  • If your phone doesn’t support magnetic attachment and requires a phone case or magnetic ring, opt for a case made of soft materials like cloth or silicone. Avoid thick or rigid materials, as they may weaken the vibration signal and lead to reduced speaker volume or increased background noise in the recording.
  • Minimize phone movement and surface friction during the call to prevent noise interference.

🎙️ General audio quality tips

  • Avoid placing Notta Memo inside a pocket or bag during use. Obstructed microphones can cause muffled or distorted sound.
  • For best results, record in a quiet, open environment and keep the Memo exposed and stable.

By following these tips, you can significantly enhance the clarity and accuracy of your recordings with Notta Memo.
