Why did I receive an account cancellation notice on an active account?

If you receive a "Account Cancellation" notification even though you are currently able to log in and use your account without any issues, it is highly likely that the notification relates to a different account than the one you are using.

In Notta, UID (User ID) serves as the primary identifier for accounts, rather than the email address. Therefore, even if two accounts share the same email address, they are treated as completely separate accounts if their UIDs differ.

First, please compare the UID in the notification with the UID of your currently used account to confirm which account the notification refers to.

How to check and verify UID?

To determine whether the account mentioned in the notification is the one you are currently using, follow the two steps below to check the UID.

  1. Note down the UID written in the notification email.

  2. Confirm the UID of the account you are currently using within the settings.

If these two UIDs are different, the notification pertains to a separate account and does not affect your current account.

Why does this happen?

Notta requires up to three days to complete an account deletion request. During this period, if you create a new account using the same email address, a completely separate account with a different UID will be generated, even though the email address is identical.

As a result, the following situation may occur:

  • June 1, 14:00 – Account A (UID=123456789) requests cancellation
  • June 1, 15:00 – A new account B (UID=987654321) is registered using the same email address
  • June 4, 14:00 – Account A's cancellation is completed and the notification is sent

※ Notification emails may be slightly delayed due to system processing.

In this case, the notification you received relates to Account A, which has already been deleted, and is completely separate from your currently used Account B.
