In the Notta workspace management screen, some members may have their status displayed as Inactive. This primarily occurs when the number of members in the workspace exceeds the number of contracted seats.
Why member status becomes Inactive
When you reduce the number of seats, users exceeding the new seat count will be automatically deactivated.
Deactivated users will lose access to the workspace.
Users will be deactivated in the following order:
- Members are deactivated first, followed by Admins.
- Among users with the same role, those who joined the workspace most recently are deactivated first.
How to resolve Inactive status
You must align the number of members in the workspace with your contracted seat count. You can do this using one of the following methods:
-
Delete unnecessary members
By delete users who are currently marked as Active but no longer need access, you can free up seats for Inactive members to be promoted.
Additionally, members with Inactive status can be deleted directly.
*When a user is manually removed from the workspace by the owner or admins, ownership of the data they held is automatically transferred to the owner. -
Purchase additional seats
To make all current members available, please add more seats to your plan.
Please refer to add or remove seats and add seats via the Billing page.
Payment via invoice
Customers paying by invoice who wish to change their seat count should fill out this form and contact sales team.
