The Library serves as your central knowledge hub in Notta Brain. It aggregates both your existing Notta records and the files you upload directly. You can use the "@" command in the chat to instantly reference any file in your Library for specific analysis.
Prerequisites for using this feature
Plan: Available on all plans
Platform: Notta Web
Availability permissions:
- Notta Files: Follows your existing Notta permissions (View/Edit).
- Notta Brain Uploads: You have full control to Add, Rename, Delete, and Preview.
⚠️ Important:
- Notta Brain Exclusive: This feature is only available on the Notta Brain Web interface. It is not found in the standard Notta Web or App.
- Upload Limit: Currently, you can only upload PDF files directly to Notta Brain.
💻 Web Instructions
- Library Composition
Your Library contains two types of materials:
Notta Files: Automatically synced audio, video, and transcripts from your workspace.
Notta Brain Uploads: PDF documents you have uploaded directly to Notta Brain. - Referencing Files with "@"
You can directly access and analyze any file in your Library without leaving the chat interface.- Go to the Chat (Smart Bar).
- Type "@" in the input field. A list of available files from your Library will appear.
- Select the specific file (e.g., @MeetingRecord or @Report.pdf).
- Ask your question. The AI will provide answers based strictly on the content of the selected file.
- Uploading PDFs
To add external documents to your Library:- Click Library in the sidebar.
- Click Upload or drag and drop files into the designated area.
- Note: Supports PDF format only.
Managing Files
For Notta Brain Uploads:
- Preview: Click any file to view its content immediately.
- Rename/Delete: You can rename or delete these files at any time.For Notta Files:
These files are managed based on your Notta permissions. Any changes (like renaming) in Notta made here will sync back to Notta Brain.

Note: The Library feature is currently not available on the Notta Mobile App. Please use the Notta Brain Web interface on your computer.
