⚠️ Important / Note:
- Authorization Expiration: For security, the Box authorization expires automatically after 30 days, requiring you to reconnect.
- Session Limits: Selected Box files are only valid for the current conversation. If you start a new chat, you will need to select the files again.
- Quantity Limits:
- You can select a maximum of 10 files/images from Box. Once this limit is reached, you will not be able to select more.
- The temporary chat input box can hold a maximum of 10 files and 10 images at the same time. (Note: Free users can select up to 1 Box file per conversation, while Paid users can select up to 10 Box files.)
- Supported Formats: You can use PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), and Images (png, jpg, jpeg). Audio, video, and zip files are currently not supported.
💻 Web Instructions
- Go to Notta Web (app.notta.ai) or Notta Brain Web.
- In the chat interface, click the Add from Box located on the toolbar next to the input box.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the OAuth 2.0 authorization.
- Once connected, the file picker will open. You can browse files via the Recent or My Files tabs, or search by filename.
- Select the files you want to use and confirm.
- Tip: The files you select will appear above your chat input box, marked with a Box source icon so you can easily distinguish them from Notta Library files. Also, since the authorization is tied to your Notta account, you can seamlessly use Box files across different workspaces within that same account.
