Add a mark while recording to save an important moment without interrupting the recording. After the recording syncs to Notta, marks appear as bookmarks so you can quickly return to the corresponding audio and transcript.
🎯 Add a mark while recording
- Start a recording on Memo Pro.
- When you hear something you want to revisit, quickly press and release the REC button.
- Memo Pro vibrates and briefly shows the bookmark icon to confirm that the mark was added. The recording continues without interruption.
Note: To add a mark, press and release the REC button quickly. Pressing and holding the button will end the recording.
Tip: If the screen is off, pressing the REC button adds the mark and turns on the screen for about three seconds. The screen then turns off again while recording continues. You can add more than one mark to a recording.
🔖 Find a marked moment in Notta
- Stop the recording, then sync it to Notta.
- Open the recording in the Notta App or Notta Web.
- Open Bookmarks.
- Select a bookmark to jump to the marked moment in the transcript or play the audio from that point.
You can change the bookmark type or delete a bookmark in Notta. To add or edit a memo for the bookmark, use Notta Web.
⚠️ If a mark does not appear
- Make sure Memo Pro is recording before you press the REC button.
- Press and release the button quickly. Holding the button ends the recording instead of adding a mark.
- Check for a vibration and the bookmark icon on the Memo Pro screen.
- Wait for the recording to finish syncing, then reopen it in Notta.
