Automatic Cloud Sync uploads recordings from your Notta Memo Pro when the device connects to a trusted Wi-Fi network. You don't need to keep the Notta App open or connect Memo Pro to your phone.
🎯 Before you begin
Note: Memo Pro supports only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. A 5 GHz-only network can't be added.
Make sure that:
- Your Memo Pro is connected to your Notta account.
- Your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is turned on and has internet access.
- You have the network name and password.
- Your Memo Pro has more than 20% battery remaining or is connected to power.
- If you set up Automatic Cloud Sync in Notta Web, use Chrome or Edge on a computer and have a USB cable ready.
Wi-Fi passwords are stored on Memo Pro and aren't uploaded to Notta.
🛠️ Set up Automatic Cloud Sync
You can use the Notta App or Notta Web to set up Automatic Cloud Sync.
Note: If you're a member of more than one workspace, choose where you want automatically synced recordings to appear. This selection applies only to Automatic Cloud Sync. Recordings transferred manually are saved to your current workspace. If you have one workspace, the workspace menu doesn't appear.
Set up in the Notta App
- Turn on Memo Pro, then connect it to the Notta App using Bluetooth.
- Tap Mine > Smart devices > Notta Memo Pro.
- Tap Automatic Cloud Sync.
- Turn on Sync recordings automatically, then tap Connect to Wi-Fi.
- Choose a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, enter its password, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Memo Pro verifies the Wi-Fi connection during setup.
Set up in Notta Web
- Sign in to Notta Web using Chrome or Edge.
- Connect Memo Pro to your computer with a USB cable. If prompted, select Memo Pro and allow access.
- Open the device details page, then select Automatic Cloud Sync.
- Turn on Automatic Cloud Sync, then select Add Wi-Fi.
- Enter the name and password for your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network exactly as they appear in your router settings, then select Save.
- Disconnect the USB cable. Memo Pro verifies the Wi-Fi connection, then starts syncing recordings waiting to be uploaded.
⚙️ How Automatic Cloud Sync works
Memo Pro starts syncing when all of these conditions are met:
- Automatic Cloud Sync is on.
- Memo Pro is idle and has a recording waiting to be uploaded.
- Memo Pro is within range of a trusted Wi-Fi network with internet access.
- Memo Pro has more than 20% battery remaining or is connected to power.
Recording always takes priority. If you start a recording while Memo Pro is syncing, the sync stops. Memo Pro tries again after the recording ends and the sync conditions are met.
Automatic Cloud Sync pauses while Memo Pro is connected to Notta Web by USB. To transfer recordings while connected, use USB Transfer, which is faster and more stable. When you disconnect the cable, Memo Pro reconnects to Wi-Fi and can resume Automatic Cloud Sync.
After a recording uploads successfully, it appears in the selected Notta workspace and is removed from Memo Pro.
📂 Manage trusted Wi-Fi networks
Networks added in the Notta App and Notta Web are saved to the same trusted Wi-Fi list on Memo Pro.
- Memo Pro can remember up to three trusted networks. If you add a fourth network, Memo Pro replaces the network that hasn't been used for the longest time.
- To remove a network, open Automatic Cloud Sync, select the network in the trusted Wi-Fi list, then select Remove.
- To change a saved password, remove the network and add it again.
Turn off Automatic Cloud Sync
Open Automatic Cloud Sync, then turn it off. New recordings stay on Memo Pro until you transfer them manually or turn Automatic Cloud Sync on again.
⚠️ If recordings don't sync
Try these steps:
- Make sure Automatic Cloud Sync is on and the Wi-Fi network appears in the trusted Wi-Fi list.
- Make sure Memo Pro is within range of the network and the network has internet access.
- Stop any recording or firmware update in progress.
- If Memo Pro is connected to Notta Web by USB, disconnect the cable.
- Charge Memo Pro if its battery level is 20% or lower.
- If the Wi-Fi connection failed, remove the network and add it again with the correct password.
If you added the network in Notta Web, reconnect Memo Pro to the Notta App or Notta Web to check the connection status. You can also transfer recordings manually using Bluetooth Transfer, Wi-Fi Fast Transfer, or USB Transfer.
