If you can't find or connect to Wi-Fi on Notta Memo Pro

Follow these steps if your network does not appear on the Add Wi-Fi page, or if Notta Memo Pro cannot connect after you select a network.

Note: Notta Memo Pro supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks only. It cannot connect to 5 GHz-only or 6 GHz-only networks.

Before you start

  1. Connect Memo Pro to the Notta App.
Keep the device powered on and connected to your phone over Bluetooth.
  2. Move closer to the router.
Keep Memo Pro and your phone near the Wi-Fi router during setup.
  3. Check the Wi-Fi band.
Make sure the router's 2.4 GHz band is enabled and has internet access.
  4. Allow the required permissions.
If prompted, allow Notta to use Bluetooth, Nearby Devices, and Location. Location access may be required to identify Wi-Fi networks during setup.

If your Wi-Fi network doesn't appear

  1. Scan again.
Go back, reopen Add Wi-Fi, and wait a few seconds for the network list to refresh.
  2. Confirm that 2.4 GHz is enabled.
A 5 GHz or 6 GHz-only network will not appear. If your router combines multiple bands under one network name, make sure 2.4 GHz has not been disabled.
  3. Show the network name.
If the router hides its network name, temporarily turn on SSID broadcasting, then scan again.
  4. Restart the connection.
Restart Memo Pro and the router, reconnect Memo Pro to the Notta App, and try again.

If the network appears but Memo Pro can't connect

  1. Enter the password again.
Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive. Check spaces, capitalization, numbers, and symbols.
  2. Remove and re-add the network.
If the saved network shows a connection error, remove it from Trusted Wi-Fi and add it again with the current password.
  3. Use a network without a sign-in page.
Memo Pro cannot complete browser-based sign-in pages used by some hotel, airport, guest, or public networks.
  4. Check router restrictions.
Temporarily disable device access controls or MAC filtering, if enabled, and try again.
  5. Update and retry.
Install the latest Notta App and Memo Pro firmware, then repeat the setup.

After Wi-Fi is added

Make sure Auto Cloud Sync is turned on. Memo Pro connects to a trusted Wi-Fi network and uploads pending recordings when the device is idle.

Tip: Sync may wait while Memo Pro is recording, transferring files another way, connected to a computer for USB transfer, or low on battery.

If you still can't connect

Contact Notta Support and include the following details:

  • Memo Pro serial number and firmware version
  • Notta App version and phone model
  • Router model, Wi-Fi band, and a screenshot of the error

Note: Never send your Wi-Fi password to Support.
