Add a name and avatar to help you recognize your Notta Memo Pro at a glance. Your personalized display appears when you wake the device.
π‘ Before You Begin
Connect your Notta Memo Pro to the Notta App.
*To use display personalization, you need the latest app version (v6.81.24 or later) and firmware (v2.0.1.0 or later). If the app asks you to update the app or firmware, follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: You can't change the display while recording, transferring data, or updating firmware. Wait until the current operation finishes, then try again.
π± Set Up Your Name and Avatar
- Open the Notta App and go to your connected Memo Pro's device details page.
- Tap Personalize Display.
- Select Personalized. When you set it up for the first time, your Notta account name and avatar are used as the starting point.
- To change the name, tap Name, enter the text you want to display, then tap OK.
- To change the avatar, tap Avatar, then choose one of the following options:
Take Photo: Take a new photo.
Select from Photos: Select a photo from your photo library.
Choose Notta Illustrations and Emoji: Select a Notta illustration, a suggested emoji, or open the emoji keyboard to choose another one. - If you use a system avatar, choose an avatar from Illustrations or Emoji, then tap Apply.
- Return to the Personalize Display page and check the Preview.
- Tap Save. Keep Memo Pro connected to the Notta App until the update is complete.
Note: Tapping OK on the name editing page confirms the edit in the app. To apply the change to Memo Pro, tap Save on the Personalize Display page.
π Check Your Display
After saving, wake your Memo Pro to see your name and avatar. Your saved display remains available even after the device is disconnected from the app.
These changes affect only your Memo Pro's display. They don't change your Notta account profile or the device name shown in the app.
Tip: Choose a short name and a simple, recognizable avatar so they are easy to see on the small screen. Use Preview to check how the name and avatar look together.
π¦ Return to the Default Display
- Open your connected Memo Pro's device details page in the Notta App.
- Tap Personalize Display.
- Select Default, then tap Save.
β οΈ If You Can't Change the Display
- The feature isn't available:
Check for updates to the Notta App and your Memo Pro's firmware. - Your device is busy:
Wait until recording, transfer, or the firmware update finishes, then try again. - The app can't load the display settings:
Make sure Memo Pro is connected, then tap Retry. - The app can't confirm an update:
Follow the on-screen instructions to check the device display settings again.
