Configure password expiration policy for your Notta workspace

Notta Enterprise Plan allows you to set a password validity period (in days), which encourages all users within the workspace to regularly change their passwords. This helps reduce security risks related to user access.

Prerequisites for using this feature
Plan: Available only on Enterprise Plan
Role: Only Owner can configure
Platform: Notta Web

Notes:

  • For workspaces where SSO is enabled, password management settings are disabled. The password expiration policy does not apply when using SSO.

  • The password expiration policy only applies to users who log in or register with an email address and password. Even after expiration, users can still log in with third-party accounts (Google, Microsoft Teams), but they cannot log in with their email address and an expired password.

  • The expiration period is calculated based on the user's last password update time, not the date the password expiration policy is enabled. If a user's password has already exceeded the defined period since their last update, they will be prompted to change their password upon accessing Notta.

  1. Click your Profile image > Settings in the upper right corner of the screen.
