Global rules (important)
Permissions required to restore data
Regardless of the status of settings A or B, any user possessing one of the following file access permissions can restore data from the Trash:
- Full access
- Can edit and download
- Can edit
Note: Any user, regardless of their primary workspace role (Owner, Admin, Creator), can restore the data if they hold sufficient file access permissions.
Permissions required to permanently delete data
Permanent deletion of data is only permitted for specific roles authorized by the Trash permissions settings.
Even if a user possesses "Full access", "Can edit and download", or "Can edit" permissions, they cannot permanently delete the data unless they belong to the authorized roles (Owner/Admin or Creator).
- A = ON → Owners/Admins can permanently delete all data
- B = ON → Creators can permanently delete their own data
Effects under different setting combinations
Settings | Owners/Admins: Manage others' data | Creators: Manage own data | Members with "Can edit" or higher: Restore accessible data |
|---|---|---|---|

A OFF | ✖ Cannot manage others' data | ✔ View / Restore / Delete | ✔ Yes |
Notes
- Recordings that are permanently deleted cannot be restored.
- All delete/restore actions are logged in the Audit Log.
- If a member leaves the workspace, their recordings are automatically transferred to the workspace owner.
