What types of plan changes are possible?
The subscription tiers, from lowest to highest, are Free, Pro, Business, and Enterprise. Changing from a lower-tier plan to a higher-tier plan is called upgrade, and conversely, changing from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan is called downgrade.
Plan Upgrade
You can upgrade your plan (change to a higher-tier plan) at any time. When you upgrade your plan, the new plan is applied immediately.

Plan Downgrade
If you wish to downgrade your plan (change to a lower-tier plan), you need to cancel your current subscription and then sign up for a new one.
The best time to sign up for a new subscription is after your original paid plan expires and your workspace has switched to the Free Plan. This will help align the start date of your new plan with the billing date.
If you sign up for a new subscription before your original paid plan expires, the start date and billing date of your new subscription may not match.
Will past data be retained after changing plans?
If you change plans within the same workspace, all past data within that workspace will be retained. During the change process, you may be prompted to cancel your current plan, but even after cancellation, you can continue to use your current plan until its expiration date or until the plan change is complete.
How will the plan change affect my billing?
Normally, the fee for the unused portion of your current plan will be applied as a credit towards the fee for the new plan, and you will only need to pay the remaining balance (the amount not covered by the transferred credit).
However, due to differences in payment processing platforms and your current subscription status, in some cases, you may need to pay the full amount for the new plan.
In such cases, Notta will offer alternatives such as a separate refund or an extension of your paid plan usage equivalent to the amount you have overpaid. Details on the fees for each scenario and the specific steps for changing plans are described below.

How much does it cost to change plans?
╘ If your Pro Plan subscription is still active:
If you have not unsubscribed from the Pro Plan yet, the unused portion of your Pro Plan fees will automatically be transferred and applied as a credit towards your Business Plan upgrade, so you will only need to pay the remaining balance.
╘ If your Pro Plan subscription has already been canceled:
If you have already unsubscribed from the Pro Plan, the unused portion of your Pro Plan fees cannot be applied towards the cost of the Business Plan. You will need to pay the full amount for the Business Plan.
After you have completed the upgrade, please contact the Notta support team, and they will guide you through the refund process for the unused portion of your Pro Plan.
What are the steps to change plans?
- Log in to the Notta Web version from your computer.
- Click your Profile image in the upper right corner and select Settings.
- Select Subscription Plan from the side navigation menu.
- Click Get Business plan in the Business Plan section.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to pay the difference or the full amount.
- If you have already canceled your Pro Plan and need to pay the full amount, please apply for a refund for the unused period of your Pro Plan through this form after completing the upgrade.
Pro Plan subscribers via App Store
How much does it cost to change plans?
Due to the difference in payment processing platforms, the fee for the unused period of your Pro Plan paid through the App Store cannot be applied as a credit towards the Business Plan fee. You will need to pay the full amount for the Business Plan.
Refunds for purchases made through the App Store are under Apple's jurisdiction. As a result, Notta cannot directly process refunds for your Pro Plan. The only amount that Notta can refund is the fee for the Business Plan paid through the Notta Web version (payments processed by Stripe).
After upgrading to the Business Plan, please provide the App Store receipt to the Notta support team, and they will refund the fee for the unused period of your Pro Plan from the Business Plan fee you paid.
What are the steps to change plans?
- Cancel your Pro Plan in the App Store. For cancellation instructions, please refer to the Apple document.
- Log in to the Notta Web version from your computer.
- Click your Profile image in the upper right corner and select Settings.
- Select Subscription Plan from the side navigation menu.
- Click Get Business plan in the Business Plan section, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment.
- Submit your App Store receipt, including the order number, via this form to request a refund for the unused period of your Pro Plan.

Pro Plan subscribers via Google Play
How much does it cost to change plans?
Due to the difference in payment processing platforms, the fee for the unused period of your Pro Plan paid through Google Play cannot be applied as a credit towards the Business Plan fee. You will need to pay the full amount for the Business Plan.
After upgrading to the Business Plan, please reach out to the Notta support team, and they will refund the fee for the unused period of your Pro Plan.
