If you cannot record other speakers' audio
Possible usage scenario 1
You probably use [Record an audio] feature for recording web meetings directly in your browser.
When conducting a web meeting and using Notta for recording in the same browser, you may encounter browser limitations that restrict audio recording to your own sound only.
How to solve this issue?
1 Open Notta in Google Chrome and open web meeting in another browser (e.g. Safari).
2 Set the PC as a speaker and click [Record an audio].
3 Once the web meeting has started, you can transcribe the audio from both participants.
*Audio may not be recorded using the above method.
Possible usage scenario 2
You probably record the web meeting while wearing earphones with a microphone or a headset.
If you wear earphones or a headset with a microphone, only your own voice can be recorded. Therefore, only your own voice can be transcribed.
How to solve this issue?
You can transcribe both types of audio by turning on your PC's speakers without using earphones or a headset.
If the user's own voice cannot be recorded
Possible usage scenario
You probably record the meeting via Notta Chrome extension.
The Notta Chrome extension exclusively captures audio from the browser page, which means it does not record your own audio.
How to solve this issue?
We recommend using Notta Web or the Notta app to transcribe.
If none of the above apply to you, please contact us within Notta Web or the Notta App.
